My Design Draft

The whole Building is composed by three parts: Office-White hexagon workshop, hollow open gallery space and Auto Fabrica's workshop above the hollow space. The main materials would be concrete and glass. To make a smooth transition of two different concept workshops, I stressed on the change of shapes (oval--hexagon--quadrangle--arc). The central part of my building would be the central staircase, truss structure and indoor waterfall (more details in Week 4's post). The open space design for the gallery allows motorcycles move freely inside. The application of concrete reflects the property of motorcycles, and glass is a typical symbol of light and colour (diffraction of light).

This Week's Sketchup Model

I haven't decided whether I need to remove that organic shape roof yet, and just leave it there at this moment.

Workshop for Off-White would be two honeycomb shaped rings surrounding the central stairs.
